It is hard to believe I began scrapbooking (without realizing that was what I was doing) over 20 years ago!  I had to make a yearly book for 4-H and also kept a couple of huge memory books of all my school accomplishments and pictures.  Of course these were anything but acid-free or photo safe scrapbooks, but I do think they were the beginning of a future obsession with all things scrapbook!

 

It took a while for me to give in to becoming  a contemporary scrapbooker though.  My mom and my sister both dove into scrapbooking years ago and even gave me a bunch of scrapbooking tools for Christmas one year.  I think subconsciously knew that once I started scrapbooking, I wouldn’t be able to stop because I put the tools on a shelf and left them there for about 2 years!

Things changed quickly when my sister had a son followed 18 months later with twin girls.  Having 3 little ones to photograph and watch grow gave this proud aunt a reason to start scrapbooking!  It may have started slow, but it didn’t take long for my living room to become overrun with scrapbooking products.  I quickly found that I was a scrapbooker through and through.

I’ve loved making scrapbooks of my life and my family, but have found that some of the best books I’ve made have been gift scrapbooks.  I’ve really enjoyed making scrapbook albums for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, births, my deployed military friends, and my boyfriend.  After a lot of badgering by friends and family I realized that I should consider becoming a scrapbooker for hire.  While I had never dreamed of becoming a professional scrapbooker it is growing into something I love dearly.  I look forward to helping you and your loved ones get years of enjoyment out of your very own custom scrapbooks!
